This year Ramadan has been confirmed to begin on Saturday, 2nd April 2022.  For the Ramadan prayer timetable, please visit the Islamic Foundation of Ireland website.

Muslim Primary Education Board wishes all Muslim pupils, parents and teachers Ramadan Mubarak

 

"Ramadhan is the (month) in which the Qur'an was sent down, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting."  

This is the verse of Qur'an (2:185) that mandates that Muslims fast during the month of Ramadan.
