The Muslim Primary Education Board (MPEB) was set up by the Islamic Foundation of Ireland, the official Patron of two Muslim National Schools in Ireland. MPEB acts on its behalf, as the management body for the existing Muslim national schools, established under the Department of Education and Science.
The aim of the MPEB is to promote Muslim pupils’ education through dedication and excellence whilst upholding Islamic values. It is believed that this will allow them to achieve their fullest potential and become successful role models worth emulating enabling them to contribute and participate effectively within Irish society.
MPEB actively engages with the Department of Education as well as all principal stakeholders relating to primary education in Ireland. By working with all education stakeholders, our aim is to advise on the diverse and inclusive perspective on all educational issues relating to Muslim children, both in our schools as well as other schools attended by Muslim children in Ireland.
